NYSED Regents Exam Test Prep & Tutoring:

The Study Shack’s New York State Education Department (NYSED) Regents Exam tutors and test prep specialists will assist your child with the specific skill-building, test-taking strategies, and time management skills necessary to successfully take New York State Regents exams.

Students in NY State are required to complete 5 Regents exams with a score of 65 or better as follows: 1 math, 1 science, 1 social studies, ELA and 1 Pathway Assessment; or students in NY State are required to complete 4 Regents exams with a score of 65 or better as follows: 1 math, 1 science, 1 social studies, ELA and meet all the requirements of the CDOS Commencement Credential.

As a graduation requirement to earn a diploma, the New York State Regents Exams are an important part of the state assessment of your child’s progress through their schooling. Our tutors will ease the process of studying for the required regents exams by working with your child methodically to understand, manage, and complete test-taking strategies.

Test Prep Tutoring For Common Core Tests In NYC:

New York ELA/Math Common Core State Test Tutoring & Prep for Grades 3-8

Students take the New York Common Core exams in order to assess their level of mastery of the Common Core Standards, which are currently implemented in the public school system. While scoring well on these exams is no longer required for entrance to middle and high school, performing well helps build students’ confidence and prepares them for high-stakes testing in later grades.

The Study Shack offers private test prep tutoring in NYC for the Common Core Tests, which are given in public schools beginning in Grade 3 and continuing through Grade 8. These exams test your child’s ability on concepts such as:

Interpreting informational and literary texts
Writing short answer responses and essays relating to these given texts
General mathematics capabilities per grade level
