High School students enrolled in Advanced Placement classes are required to take the AP Exam at the end of the year in order to receive college credit. Each AP exam is graded on the following scale:
- 5 (extremely well qualified)
- 4 (well qualified)
- 3 (qualified)
- 2 (possibly qualified)
- 1 (no recommendation)
Most colleges accept scores between 3 and 5 to receive credit. AP classes are great for students looking to get their college general education requirements out of the way early.
The College Board administers the Advanced Placement Exams over the course of two weeks each May. The Study Shack’s Advanced Placement Test Prep specialists will assist your child with the specific skill building, test taking strategies, and time management skills necessary to successfully take an AP exam.
